Joan is available to facilitate Artist Trading Card workshops in the Columbus, Ohio, metropolitan area (contact Joan E. Phelps).
She is also available to speak on marketing for authors and branding for authors and small businesses, having had extensive experience in these areas. Her Bachelor's degree is in Arts Management and she has an MBA from Capital University. Along with her personal exploration into the arts, and the work she has done with authors, Joan brings a lot of experience to workshops and insight into marketing and writing from a business perspective.
Joan maintains a blog on life with parrots and is available to speak before parrot groups. She is particularly experienced with African Greys, and was responsible for bringing the very popular book, For the Love of Greys, (by Bobbi Brinker) to Lucky Press.

Fees are based on location, length of engagement, preparation needed for event, materials provided for art events, number of attendees, whether the host is a business or not-for-profit organization, and whether book sales are involved. Everything is negotiable, so just ask!
